The message generally appears soon after installing SpecWare when trying to connect to a Model 100 (button) Logger. It is a result of Windows failing to register a key component during the registration.
Quick solution: Click Windows "Start", then "Run...", and type the following line:
and click "Ok".
Not as quick, but less typing: Reinstall SpecWare from the CD.
